Lisa Newsome has frequented and worked in Murfreesboro all of her life!  As a graduate of Chowan University and UNC-Chapel Hill, she is a career marketing professional with over 35 years of experience working in Hertford County.  She is proud and eager to serve on the Chamber board and does all she can to promote Murfreesboro for economic development in the future!

​Brooke Reich is a storyteller and strategist who serves Chowan University as Senior Development Director and Director of University Relations and Communications. "As a transplant from Texas, I've found Murfreesboro to be incredibly warm and welcoming," she says. "It's a great place to get involved and raise a family - a true community!"

Brunet V. Parker is presently Hertford County Public Schools Public Information Officer under the general direction of the Superintendent where she facilitates a variety of public information and community relations activities, events, projects, internal and external communication. She was a middle school Business Education teacher and chartered the first Future Business Leader of America Organization at the middle school. Her motto is, “the greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it.”

A hometown girl, who has two sons and one grandson. She started her working career in 1968 right here in Murfreesboro. The town represents Rita through its heritage and strong sense of community, here she believes everyone is family.
